SPOON結成から9か月が経ちました

SPOON結成から９か月、様々な人に出会い自分たちのクロツラヘラサギへの思いや志を伝えさせていただきました。その中で皆さんからいただいたアドバイスや質問をヒントに、ここ数か月SPOON自体のコンセプト・ミッションについて話し合い、見直してきました。 今回は、改めましてSPOONのコンセプトについて投稿させていただきます。 【SPOONプロジェクトとは】 SPOONプロジェクトとは、東アジアに生息する渡り鳥であるクロツラヘラサギに関するものです。クロツラヘラサギは絶滅危惧種に指定される鳥ですが、人口150万都市の福岡市など人間に近いところにも飛んできています。そのようなクロツラヘラサギには、個体を識別できる「足環」を付けられている個体が400羽ほどいます。この「足環」と同じ「指輪」を製作し、個別の鳥と人とのつながりの装置にして、都市で生活する人々が「指輪」を介してクロツラヘラサギのことを想うことで、心の中に自然を抱き、都市にいながら自然と繋がっている状態を作り出したいと考えています。自然と繋がると、人々は優しくなり、身近な環境も地球規模の環境へも、想像の翼を広げる事ができるとも考えています。

9 months has passed since we formed “SPOON”. We have been meeting people and telling our activities and our vision of our project. And many people gave us questions and advice for us. This few months we been discussing about our concept and visions from these questions and advice. We hope to again tell you about our concept and vision.

【About our project “SPOON”】 Black Faced Spoonbill is a migratory bird that is registered ‘endangered’ in the IUCN red data book, and confined to the coastal areas of east Asia. There are only 2000 of them in the world and 400 individuals are banded with individual IDs. Some of the spoonbills migrate also to Fukuoka city which has population of about 1,500,000 people. SPOON Project is a project to link urban people with birds and enable people living in urban areas to feel nature in their heart and their daily lives. We are attempting to make this connection between urban people and spoonbills by making rings for people which are inspired by spoonbill bands and visualizing the connection of human individuals and spoonbill individuals. We think that through this project people will be link to nature, and by that people will become more relent and become more aware of environment issues. We hope this will enable people to reach out to save and restore the environments and much more to the environments in other places.
